Regarding the presentation, the study question that professionals of RB have raised is why do many specialists still transfer 2 or more embryos in most assisted reproduction procedures. After a retrospective review of our results, the answer is that we should not accept multiple pregnancies as an “unavoidable” side effect of assisted reproduction in the 21st Century. Improvements in embryo culture systems, freezing-thawing procedures and genetic assessment of embryos, among others, should be fully (and really) incorporated into practice.
